Bengaluru Metro’s Yellow Line likely to be partially operational by June, full launch by September

Bangalore Metro Rail Corporation Limited (BMRCL) officials on Saturday clarified that the much-awaited Yellow Line is set to start its partial operation by June, adding that the complete operation is expected to commence in September. The officials stated that the full-scale operation might also begin in August, subject to approvals and the arrival of crucial infrastructure.

BMRCL Managing Director, Maheshwar Rao, stated that the operation will begin once the third train arrives, adding that the authority will get more clarity by the end of this month. “Operations will commence once CMRS approval is in place and we have the required train sets. We’re currently waiting on the third train, and we expect more clarity by the end of this month,” Rao was quoted .
