Mumbai airport on Thursday refuted the allegations of International Air Transport Association (IATA. They saying that the decision to suspend cargo flights and reallocate slots from Mumbai to Navi Mumbai airport were done.
“We hope Adani Airports, as the operator of the two-airport system in Mumbai, is not using this situation to pressure airlines to move their operations to their upcoming Navi Mumbai Airport. However, that this is an example of airport ‘capacity gaming’ which will harm aviation throughout India and beyond,.” John Middleton, head of worldwide airport slots at IATA said in the statement. “The infrastructure developments currently underway, such as the construction of a parallel taxiway for Runway 14/32, require the temporary relocation of certain cargo facilities.
